Sufian Ahmed, Ethiopia’s Finance Minister, lost his candidacy at the ongoing Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) at the Election for the Office of President of the Bank. Sufian was the second cadidate to be eliminated from eight contenders running for the office. Samura M. W. Kamara of Sierra Leone was eliminated first.
UNDP Associate Administrator, Gina Casar, will visit Ethiopia from February 21- 25, 2015. This is Ms. Casar’s first visit to Ethiopia since she was appointed UN Under-Secretary-General and Associate Administrator of UNDP in June 2014, the UNDP Ethiopia office said in a statement.

I would like to point out some significant inconsistencies in your magazine. Your editorial (#JusticeForHanna, Dec. 2014) asks Ethiopians to “wakeup” against the injustices towards women in society. The article is certainly geared more towards gender based violence than inequality between the two genders.
